Ronen Raviv’s kitchen
In 1999, after working in many kitchens in Israel and abroad, chef Ronen Raviv opened the Neshika restaurant in the courtyard of the house where he was born, in Zichron Yaakov. In 2017 Ronen decided that he was ready to realize his next dream – a restaurant that was all about meat, and preferably smoked meat. Nachman Smokehouse BBQ & Grill is named after Ronen’s father Nachman, who was among the founders of the moshav farming village, and was a farmer who spent his time between the local kitchens and the land he cultivated.
“I cook only what I love to eat. First, the meat goes onto the special grill, and is then smoked in a smokehouse with fragrances from the lemon, apple and plum trees that grow in our garden. I make pastrami brisket and other cuts of meat, kebabs and of course, chickens.”
The pastrami brisket is perfect – the king of smoked meats. Whoever eats pastrami at Nachman’s has had a taste of paradise.

We have menus suitable for every occasion, and above all we have Ronen, who will both cook and host you like royalty.
Workshops: Chef Ronen Raviv invites you to participate in workshops on smoking and grilling meats on his one-of-a-kind grill. Chef Ronen welcomes you to his smokehouse and grill, and most of all to his table. It’s not really a meat workshop, he says, but rather, a “meat eating workshop” and a special taste fest for true meat lovers.
Events: Baby naming, bar/bat mitzvah, wedding, anniversary, birthday, stag party, business launches, company bonding events or any other reason that suits your fancy – Ronen will make you happy and put together an awesome event with amazing food and a beautiful location. The pastoral courtyard and peaceful atmosphere create the ideal setting for any special and intimate event.
