Tree of Knowledge - Margaret Lev - Tours in Zichron Yaakov
I am Margaret Lev, a tour guide who considers passing on the local heritage to be of paramount importance. I am also an independent researcher and do volunteer work in the community. I mainly study the Moshavot farming villages that were run by the Baron de Rothschild, which were founded about 140 years ago, with a focus on Zichron Yaakov and its “next-generation” Moshavot in the Samaria area.
I hold a variety of tutorials and tours on the subjects of heritage, agriculture, wine, nostalgia, art and culture, and organize diverse activities for families with children, individuals, groups of retirees, groups of people with special needs, and more.
In addition, I produce small events that can include visits to the farmyards, getting to know the local figures and landscapes, urban tours that cover sites in the Moshava, or tours that focus on architecture and nature, all, creating an intimate and genuine unforgettable experience.
My intimate acquaintance, growing up in the heart of the historic Moshava Zichron Yaakov, with its historic sites, its vicinity, its picturesque characters, and the pioneers of the founding generation, had inspired me and it is my pleasure to pay it forward by means of informal education to tourists and the younger generation.
