Zichron Yaakov was founded in 1882 by Jews from Romania who settled in the Zamarin Hill. You can learn of the challenges they faced, their determination, and their story, at The First Alyiah Museum.  

Zichron Yaakov is located in the middle between Israels major cities, Tel Aviv-Yafo and Haifa, and near the main highways 2, 4, and 6. All travelers to the north of Israel and back pass by it, and its surrounding includes tow convergence points with the Israel National Trail (Shvil Yisra’el) hiking path
