Poizner Winery
Small boutique winery, located in the very heart of the former moshava farming village. Founded in 2002 by the Poizner family, one of the founding winemaking families of Zichron Yaakov.
Starting in 2010, the winery’s wines are made from a selection of red grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabarnet Sauvignon, Sirah, Carignan and Petit Verdot, grown in the family’s vineyards in nearby Shfeya Valley and Hanadiv Valley, below the southern Carmel ridge.
The winery blends modern wines with a tradition and knowledge of five generations of winegrowing. Yoav, the winery’s vintner, is a 5th generation winemaker who learned his profession in the first graduating class of the winemaking specialists course at Tel Hai College. Yoav and his father Yossi, who has been an expert winegrower for decades, make high quality boutique wines by combining the family traditions and the knowledge accumulated for over 120 years, with the most advance modern technologies.
