Yad La-Meyasdim Founders Memorial
Memorial site to the founders of the moshava farming village
In 1968 this memorial museum was built on the former site of the threshing floor, to showcase the work of the founders of Zichron Yaakov and its satelite villages (Bat Shlomo and Meir Shfeya) The building is designed to resemble a scrol. The outer wall has a relief made by the artist Gedula Ogen The relief depicts scenes from the early days of the village, and includes the names of the founders of Zichron Yaakov, Bat Shlomo and Meir Shfeya. Inside the building are photos, documents and film clips
Entrance is free of charge, by advance arrangement with the Gidonim Tourism Information Center. Tel: 04-6398811
The Gidonim offices house an information center beside Yad La-Meyasdim, and visitors can get maps and information on the moshava.
